About Us: Our Guiding Principles
Worship is the ultimate goal of the church.
It is giving God priority in every area of life. The life of a believer is to be God-centered. Therefore we value the exaltation of God in our lives individually and collaborately. It is not about us, it is about God. (Rom. 12:1, 1Cor. 10:31)
We believe the life of a Christian controlled by the Holy Spirit is the life that loves and obeys God.
Therefore, we value the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Believer knowing that such an individual will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh but manifest the fruit of the Spirit relationally. (Ga. 5: 16-26)
The Bible is God’s absolute truth.
A life is transformed by the Holy Spirit through the truth of God’s Word. Jesus Christ is the model for communicating truth. Therefore, we value the communication of truth in a creative manner that provides the hearer with a clearer understanding. (Romans 10:17; Heb 4:12; 1 Tim 3: 16)
We believe that God, by grace, has enabled every Believer for a life of service.
We further believe that Christians should serve God from a heart of love not by duty. Therefore, we value Believers serving the world through evangelism and the Body of Christ through discipleship. (Rom. 6:13; Eph. 4:11-14; 1Cor 12-14)
We believe that God’s most significant creation is the family and God’s most significant concept is love.
Therefore, we value a right relationship with God and others. We strive to build loving relationships in our physical and spiritual families and to manifest love to our neighbors. (1 Cor. 13; Rom. 12:10; Eph. 5:22-6:4; Gal. 5:14; Deut. 6:4-7)
We believe that God desires his people to pray and that He hears and answers prayer.
Therefore, the ministries and activities of this church must be empowered by prayer in their conception, planning, and execution. (Matt. 7:7-11; James 5:17)
